Yeah, I probably just don't have exposure to the right stuff. I mean, but it's interesting that pre-internet, those sorts of things were behind the counter magazines whereas romance novels with full-on sex scenes could be bought front of the counter at any drug store. But, since we ARE talking about the internet, it's possible that there are just as many original short story romances as there are fanfics, and I would be interested in comparing their structure.
