Thanks again for all your help and thoughts and stuff! It's interesting people say this is funny, because I certainly didn't try to make it that way. But I think my sense of humor is broken, so I just believe what people tell me ;o)

I love your talk, and I don't think you could ever talk my ear off. That essay you linked about Spock and Majel Barrett just pinged so many cool ideas. I have this idea for a fic that makes me tremble with the "can I do it or not???!?!?!" feeling, and I haven't had that in a while. It's not that I haven't been inspired; it's just that my inspiration hasn't been very lofty in a while--which is perfectly cool with me, it's just fun to try to do slightly more philosophical things, too.
