Poor Buffy - I can't decide whether that sort of behavior with multiple guys is better or worse than the mutual-abuse she and Spike put each other through. Although I'm leaning towards Spike being better since she did at least talk out some of her issues with him sometimes, whereas without him she'd just be holding it in.
I'm beginning to realize how difficult it's going to be for Buffy to trust Angel, without ever having an emotional connection to a vampire before. I can't see the older, harder Buffy being as optimistic as innocent sixteen year old Buffy wondering if a vampire could be a good person before she even knew he had a soul.
Anyway, I enjoyed the update! Is this story already completed on your hard drive or is it a WIP?
