I think Spike was healthier than sleeping around with multiple guys as well. I had a hard time writing that; I wasn't really sure Buffy would act that way. But considering how she acted with Spike, if Spike hadn't been there, she must've done something to forget herself every once in a while.
And I definitely think the older Buffy would have a harder time trusting Angel. It's kind of a weird perspective to write from; I find myself looking to Buffy's treatment of Spike more often than her treatment of Angel to write this part.
I have the next nine chapters written; they're with a2zmom, who's beta'ing this fic. But the rest is still in my head, so it's a WIP.
