I hadn't thought about how long it would take to get to, you know, some touchy-feely when I started writing this fic. I wanted to take the time to establish some real--not just superficial--attraction, but I didn't want it to be static, either
You know, when I first started with this whole fic thing as a writer...I seemed to rush for the sexual payoff...but as a reader I absolutely love a story that drags it out. It's like in real life, how you anticipate that first kiss with a new guy (not like I've had any first kisses with new guys in recent memory, lol)and the anticipation is just--everything. Indie did a wonderful job of it in her story "Domestication". It took *for-friggin-ever* before Angel and Buffy kissed and that kiss was scorching hot!
All that to say, keep on doin' what you're doin'. There is NOTHING static about this story.
