Oh, thanks, that makes sense of things. I (foolishly) believed the company line that they had always planned to kill him off.
Him and DB were really, really tight. DB won't talk about him much, even when asked, and sometimes he still tears up.
Ack! Sad. During that part in S5 where Cordy is watching Doyle's video and Angel walked in, there seemed to be real grief in his face.
