Anyway! Fabulous! This is so cool! They actually really remind me of the Tom Waits album ("Alice") that I got the name of this fic from (and I tried to get ideas by reading the songs:

everything you can think of is true
the baby's asleep in your shoe
your teeth are buildings with yellow doors
your eyes are fish on a creamy shore)

I wish I had known about this when writing. It really is very much what I wanted to do with the fic.
