Actually, most really well characterized B/A post-NFA fics are about that, to me, even if the author wasn't consciously aware of it. Imo it's what stands in the way of B/A getting together/being happy.
The other significant impediment to B/A post-NFA, imo, is how closed off Buffy becomes--but I think, actually, if Angel was still the Angel she knew in early S2 or even S3, this wouldn't be as much of a problem. I think that an insignificantly changed Angel--an Angel who needs her and depends on her like he needed her in S2--would trigger that young 16 yr old part of herself that used to tell him everything. I also think she would use that Angel terribly--that's one of the things I want to get at in BS, because BS is of course all about asking what would B/A be like post NFA had Angel not grown to be so independent and alpha.
