I think maybe it's not exactly that the kids are special to Narnia, as that this is the story of THESE KIDS' Narnia. That maybe there's a Narnia waiting for any kid who can muster up the faith/wonder to get there, and each Narnia needs that specific kid. (Lucy had the faith/wonder, and made it real and available to her siblings--proselytising, as it were.)
