Interesting. I had trouble, at first, believing Angelus loved Buffy at all, but I changed my opinion when I ruminated harder on the differences between Angel/Angelus, it was the only thing that made sense. Still, I have trouble believing Angelus loved her in any way that wanted to preserve her. His love for her (imo) was completely destructive.
Oh yeah, completely destructive, which is why I don't get B/Aus fic. However, there is something amusing and endearing to me that ALL of Angel loves Buffy, not just his soulful part.
14. I'd like to read the essay. I feel like I understand the genre; it was meant to be a sort of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern thing, right? They just didn't pull it off, imo. The Zeppo was in the same genre and worked much better.
I wasn't sure I'd be able to find the link, but I did. *g* The Girl in Question Essay (http://rahirah.livejournal.com/63397.html)
2. I thought the same thing about [info]a2zmom's fic, Happy (Baby Won't You Keep Me)--or else I would've let her know and try to make her ditch it, as I was her beta on that one. But the way a2zmom handles it is subtle and elegant. It makes sense. It's not there just to be there.
Hee. Dorky me just put two and two together. *g*
"OMG, Claddagh rings, that means we're secretly married!!!", which is fine, just not my cuppa.
::giggle:: I oscillate between pure annoyance and guilty pleasure reading with that one.
6. Link? I love that you didn't realize until after you were finished that they hadn't said it. To me, that says you were writing them in character.
Yes, let's go with I was doing it intentionally. *g* And the link: All Souls' Day (http://spiralleds.livejournal.com/117882.html).
