As far as I know, you still can't follow lj journals like you would in lj directly. Your best bet is to make feeds for them here, and then subscribe to them--you will be able to read their public entries that way. ('Home -> Read -> Feeds')

The line is made by the crossposter, and you can customize it. It's pretty awesome. (Go 'Home -> Organize -> Account -> Other sites' and you will see how to do it.)
