I have been known to become terribly confused, especially when I have some reason to be gone for a while. You should've seen how messed up I was after watching the first season of Dollhouse, utterly freaking out (because, unlike a lot of people, I did identify with Echo/Caroline and was horrified), and then trying to squeeze back into LJ with everybody talking about the show....
