I think it's really good and necessary to have and tell stories about people w/ disabilities that aren't all about the disability.
Well, yes. That's why I have the problem. The point is supposed to be that someone can have a disability and have the story not be about the disability. My problem is that you can't just pretend the person doesn't have a disability, or that he's not going to have problems with it, or other people aren't going to have reactions to it. But as soon as I do address these things, it feels like the whole story becomes The Disability Story, and not the Draco-and-Harry-become-friends-and-oh-yeah-Draco-is-paralyzed-for-life story.
Anyway! I will send it to you! And write notes about all my problems! And flail!
