Interesting questions.

Where did the term whinging come from?

English spelling for whining.
How bout the term pressies?

Another thing the English say.
Does DB's acting (in say, Bones) still bother people sometimes?

I've only seen Bones once and that would be because DB's acting still bothers me.

Do you rewatch eps of BtVS/AtS? How do you do it? Do you just pick out one you liked? Pick out a couple you liked? Watch an arc you liked? Fastforward to the good parts? Rewatch a whole season? Rewatch certain parts for fanfic writing purposes?

Sometimes. My Tivo records all Spike episodes rerun on FX as James Marsters is my only keyword. I usually delete them, sometimes watch just the Spike scenes, and occassionally watch the whole episode. But not lately as I'm feeling quite intolerant of things like Buffy angsting over Angel or Riley. Or the stupid comparison of Willow's so-called magic addiction to Buffy's supposed Spike addiction. And season 7. And then there's DB's acting.

Why can't I get a job?

I don't know. What are you looking for?

What ep of anything Whedonverse did you not like much at first, but gained respect for later?
Is there one you liked at first but not so much now?

I don't know. I didn't mind season 1 the first time I watched it, which was long after the series ended. But anyway, I'm not currently able to tolerate DB's acting and makeup and eeww factor of the relationship.

There are a lot of episodes that I think aren't so bad on their own, if they were just followed by an episode that made things better.

Are there characters you like better in fanfic than on the actual screen?

Yeah. Number one would be Buffy. Most people write a much more likable Buffy. And then there's Dawn, Anya and Tara, who I like just fine on the show, but are used a lot more in a lot of fics. Fics about secondary characters are my favorite. Why isn't there a community for that? or a Ficathon?
