Hee! You can go on and on if you want! I never noticed how her looking up in that moment really sharpened the religious imagery, but it does and that's really cool. I do think she is very much his religion, but I think in "Amends" she gets placed by the PTB--he starts living his life for them, what he thinks his purpose is for them (and then later it's all about Connor). But I think Angel very much needs to believe in something. When he believed in nothing, he was a big ole bum for a century.
It really popped out at me when reading this fic even though I didn't get why you were using it.
Well, I'm glad, because being able to see exactly how a fic works is not necessarily what you want, you know? It's like you want to show the pretty finished product and not all the greasy machinery behind it.
This is so true and you're right not enough people (myself included) write about Buffy dealing with her Kendra issues.
I don't either; this is the only piece I've really mentioned her (except she's in Best Souvenir). I'm so glad to hear you have Kendra bunnies though! I didn't particularly love the character, but her impact on Buffy . . . you know, Buffy running into the school in slo mo in that green jacket, and falling to her knees beside Kendra, affected me way more than her having to kill Angel, even though I'm such a sappy B/A shipper.
