Bless you!

Brit picking:

exacto knife - although you may be able to obtain this in the UK, it's not widely available or a household name. If Sherlock had somehow obtained a US-style exacto knife, I doubt John would recognise it as such - he'd probably just think "craft knife". The equivalent (slightly different, but just as standard & widespread) boxcutter type craft knife would be a stanley knife.

“I also know the particular brand of candy bar you like to eat when no one is looking, that you will have gotten hungry waiting for her to return, that you fortify yourself with food; that particular vending machine carries that bar for eighty-five pence, and you are one pound shorter than you were yesterday morning.”

Although some younger Brits are sufficiently influenced by American TV and pop culture to have incorporated "cookies" for biscuits, "pants" for trousers and "candy" for sweets into their vocabulary, neither Sherlock nor Mycroft would. He (and so, I presume, she) would say "chocolate bar" or perhaps "snack". Sherlock is punctilious about correct use of English to the point that 'The Great Game' gave us that opening scene with the hung/hanged joke, so s/he wouldn't use "gotten" - it's grammatically incorrect in UK English. Sherlock would use a construction such as "you will have grown hungry" or "you will have become hungry."

On a non-Brit picking note (might as well be hanged for a sheep as a lamb) are you quite sure you want Mary to suggest Sherlock's homosexual, rather than lesbian, or gay? I mean, fair enough, if you feel strongly about that word choice - as a reader, I tend to think of it as implying masculinity rather than as gender-neutral (probably because of the homo=man thing, subconsciously) so when Sherlock was revealed to be a woman it felt particularly "...the who with the what now?" But that might just be me.

...God, I feel like a complete git now. Argh.

Anyway - yay podfic! Thank you! I've got a bit of a backlog on at the minute, but if you're okay with me adding this to the list, that would be lovely! Thank you! &hearts (I'll drop you a line when it's done!)
