Hi, I'm a professional lurker =) But sometimes people (like you) write something so gorgeous that I feel very bad about not commenting. Even if there's like hundreds of other people praising and being far more eloquent about it.

So, there. That was (several typos notwithstanding :D) marvelous. Wonderfully meta, with amazing structure. It's like that garden Alice walked through behind the Looking Glass - you presuppose a logic in it, it turns out that it's different from what you thought and somehow the same.

And since Spike is usually All About Buffy or Angel, it's very fitting that a B/A story is All About Spike and his perceptions, wrong or not, and his interactions with these two. Oh, and his masks that he tries to put on others. Sigh. Poor guy.
