Yay, I finally found the time to read this! And it was very worth the wait. Spike's take on the B/A relationship was such a creative way to go, and you really took it for all it could be - sometimes funny in his utter frustration and mocking of them, sometimes just fucking tired of it and not seeing the humor or sense, sometimes jealous... it's just all so believable and awesome and completely in his attitude and voice. I think my very favorite little section that sort of grasped the feel of the whole piece was the first two paragraphs of #5 - it's so... yes. Watching, imagining, and being unfulfilled - poor, hungry Spike.

You have this way of making me work when reading. I know I've commented in the past on your talent with using and twisting around language, and you really, really put that into this one as well. And a lot of the time when I'm reading fic I can just sit here and take it all in and have the plot handed to me, but you and your twisty language made me stop and have to re-read lots of sentences to truly grasp the meaning (and the prettiness) of them, which I think is cool, because making my brain work a little harder and think about the awesomeness on the page in front of me is not at all a bad thing.
