Well, Avatar is Happy, right? Aang gets to ride A giant Lion Turtle!
... Apparently Avatar + haikus makes me happy, anyway.
Just popping up to say hi, and also because your comment on hypertext fiction immediately made me think of something: Scott McCloud's rhapsodising about the infinite canvas of the internet page at the end of Understanding Comics, and how pretty soon we'd all be posting comics that required vast amounts of sideways scrolling and clicking.
Which, ok, it was 1993 or whatever. Which is perhaps also the sort of time there was first a kerfuffle about the infinite possibilities of hypertext? Aaand, I haven't read a story which includes it, although, heh, the idea of reading stories on the internet with any regularity is sorta new to me, so yeah.
Which I suppose is a long-winded way of saying that my first thought on encountering such a story might be 'oh, dated!' But then again I can imagine it being stunningly effective if used well? It would definitely blur the lines between text and performance of a sort, I guess. Oh internet!
