This is so, so good, Joy. I haven't read a lot of reaction posts because I'm just HP'd out at the moment, but I HATED the epilogue. I liked most everything until that point (I had a few issues, but no deal breakers), then I got there and I was just like . . . woah. No. And part of it was the triteness and part of it was that she went too far into the future and part of it was the reinforcement of the status quo, and all of that ties into what you've done here. I wouldn't necessarily have said creepy before, though it did make me incredibly uncomfortable. But it WAS creepy. It was deeply creepy and you have totally shown that here; you've laid it all out. This is exactly what was wrong with the epilogue. *shudders*
