Oh, I get to be long-winded and opinionated.

I love it when people are, which is why I ask.

yes, doyle_sb4. She specializes in love for hated characters.

So I'm guessing she loves Dawn, Andrew, and Joyce as well. Actually, Joyce is the only character I just hate. Okay, after Ats S5, I hate Andrew, too. But Kennedy and Dawn I just dislike.

First, the long hair was partly extensions and it was apparently very uncomfortable (if not painful) for Charisma. The network demanded the color change since Fred was brunette.

I wondered whether they dyed it because of Fred. I had no idea CC's hair was extensions. It was so beautiful, and extensions often...aren't.

How they could take one of the most gorgeous woman I've ever seen and make her average at best still mystifies me.

Me too. I only recalled why I used to think she was so drop-dead when she started getting pregnant, because I thought the extra weight she put on made her look really cute. But it was only in "You're Welcome" that I was struck as I was all through S1. She really looked stunning in that ep.

The original script wasmuch darker and it shows in the comic.

I had heard Whedon was unhappy with the movie, so I wondered whether he decided to construct a whole different past for show Buffy (in his head that is) or what. Thanks for the link to the comic; I'll definitely order that some day.

I liked Doyle, I loved Cordy/Doyle but never feel guilt! I hardly ever find Marsters attractive, which might get me lynched in certain circles.

He's the only one I feel guilty about not liking. As for JM, I think he's hot, but only sometimes. However, I feel the same way about DB (ok, to be honest, with DB, I'd have to say a lot or most of the time), which might get me confused looks in certain circles. DB is certainly very good looking, but good looking is not usually what I go for. In fact, it disconcerts me just how attractive I find him.

Here's my take - he can slow dance because any boob can shuffle their feet.

Not true. I trip, seriously. Then again, the opportunities I've had to slow dance? Once. With my brother. So maybe I'd improve.

like a crazed muskrat in heat, undergoing electro-shock therapy.

Thank you for that image. And if your b-i-l Paul can do the Angel spaz dance, you should be so lucky. I've rarely laughed so hard.

There's Angel/Synder fic.

Where? Yes, I like watching train wrecks happen.

Lots of people agree with you on the voice thing.

I looked him and his bedworthiness up on imdb and saw that indeed, he'd done a lot of voice things. Voices usually get to me a lot more than looks do. Which is one of the main reasons I find JM occasionally hot; he has a good voice. DB has the unfortunate tendency of having a voice that reminds me of my brother's--who has a very nice voice, btw. It's just weird.

But check him out in "The Trial". Look ma, no underarm hair!

I did notice that. In fact, that was when I first seriously started wondering about chest hair. I had trouble being distracted by it then, though, because of the beautiful back. Seriously one of my favorite shots from the show ever.

One of the things I loved about the show Once and Again was that Billy Campbell had real live grown-up chet hair. I think hollywood tries to appeal to teen-age girls by making guys more androgynous and therefore, less sexually threatening.

I've never seen that show. Then again, I haven't seen most shows. I think you're right about the teen girl thing, but I just don't get. When I was a teenager (okay so it was only a couple years ago) I still liked men with chest hair. Then again I was always the odd duck with a thing for much older men, so I guess it was an anomaly.
