JM's accent was a contruct of wonder - posh/Northern/mockney/Californian. Plausible. After ASH left, the accent, and the word choice, stopped hitting the mark.

It all make sense except the plausible part. I like JM. I think he's a fine actor. But I never could get over the accent.
