Questions Post #13

Do you think Wesley looks like Ed Exley, as played by Guy Pearce, in L.A. Confidential?
What's the thing in lj called, where a post looks like a white page with text, with just a few buttons at the top, and can you always get to that in anyone's journals, or is it only some journals?
Where did the term whinging come from?
How bout the term pressies?
Does DB's acting (in say, Bones) still bother people sometimes?
Does anyone wished DB shaved his face closer these days (on Bones)?
Does anyone not think they fucked with Cordy's character in AtS S3? Besides TKDad, I mean?
Do you guys like Andy Hallett?
Do you guys like Stephanie Romanov?
Has anyone written Cordy/loofah? Anyone?
Do you rewatch eps of BtVS/AtS? How do you do it? Do you just pick out one you liked? Pick out a couple you liked? Watch an arc you liked? Fastforward to the good parts? Rewatch a whole season? Rewatch certain parts for fanfic writing purposes?
How do you make katsu don?
Why can't I get a job?
What ep of anything Whedonverse did you not like much at first, but gained respect for later?
Is there one you liked at first but not so much now?
Are there characters you like better in fanfic than on the actual screen?
Why is Kara Thrace such a badass?
How could that AoQ guy finally give a "SUPERLATIVE" (yeah, all caps) rating to my least favorite ep in all 7 seasons of BtVS?
Is there really any episode worse than "Provider"?
Does anyone just think "ARCHIE KENNEDY!!!!" every time they see Lee Adama?
Why does everyone hate Waiting In The Wings?
Am I the only one who doesn't think Angel making goofy faces at baby!Connor was out of character and stupid?
Am I the only one who actually kinda likes Justine (as a character)?
Okay, I'm done.

Okay... on Lindsey as Connor's father:

I get that in The Trial, the PTB gave Darla her life in the form of Connor. Okay. But Lindsey and Darla were screwing aplenty -- and it just always seemed more fascinating to me to have Angel love this child, claim him, and then to find out that he was Lindsey's? Talk about the ultimate triumph of evil over good and another hurdle in a ste of endless hurdles for Angel. It would have made for some fascinating AtS S6 drama.

Now I know this flies in the face of the Nyazian scrolls, but it might *not*, considering that everyone who worked for W&H was bound for eternity to the firm -- so in a post-NFA scenario, Lindsey is still a player (as are all the AI team members)and there's the opportunity for the plot device. We would probably see a return to the 'setting women on fire!Angel' -- all wrath and fury and sorrow, and it would be wonderful to see where he could go -- especially if Spike took the role of balancing influence (a la Cordy or Doyle).

If I wrote long-form fic, I'd give it a shot to see here it goes, but my atention span for longer pieces in non-existent.

Wacky? Wild? Impossible?

I'm not sure Darla and Lindsey were actually screwing. Lindsey is just the type of man to get *that* worked up over a woman he's never slept with (just like he's worked up over Angel, who doesn't give two shakes enough to either fuck him or fight him). And Darla is just the sort of woman who'd revel in Lindsey's wanting-her-and-not-getting-it.

We would probably see a return to the 'setting women on fire!Angel'

I don't know about that. I guess I'm having trouble even fathoming what Angel's reaction would be if he found out Connor wasn't actually his son. But I guess at that point he would just feel so royally screwed over, I'm not even sure he'd have anger left.

If I wrote long-form fic, I'd give it a shot to see here it goes, but my atention span for longer pieces in non-existent.

Well, this whole idea makes me really really REALLY wish that you did write longer fic! Because I'd be interested to watch Angel's reactions play out.
