I went to a Sound of Music Sing-a-long. I met up with some fellow SoM fangirls (I knew them from online. From writing SoM fanfiction. This is how I first met in person fandom friends.) in London, where they were doing it. I dressed up in Maria's nightgown; imnotacommittee was a blue strawberry (Captain: "it's too cold for blueberries." Friedrich: "they were strawberries! It's been so cold out, they've turned blue!") and our other friend came as edelweiss--she won the costume contest.

The sing-a-long was hosted by a man in a red sparkly dress named Candy, who had better legs than me, and imnotacommittee brought poppers and we popped 'em when Maria and the Captain kissed, and when the nun said that the Captain was "a fine man, and a brave one" INAC shouted, "and a hot one!"

They circle around fairly often; one should come by you eventually. I highly recommend going to one, if you can find someone to go with you!
