I have wanted this ever since I got an lj. *points to mood theme*

Thanks to imnotacommittee for directing me to it. It's here if anyone else is interested . . . but somehow I don't see crazydiamondsue giving up her "full" Xander-in-a-speedo mood, and she's the only one I can think of besides INAC who cares.

BUT IT'S THE SOUND OF MUSIC YOU GUYS AND MARIA AND CAPTAIN VON TRAPP AND OMG I'M JUST SO UNBELIEVABLY HAPPY THAT YES, I DO HAVE TO USE THIS MUCH CAPSLOCK. /the hills are bloody the frak alive.

A few months ago, we had a power outage that lasted for a few hours. So we lit candles in the living room, found the Sound of Music piano sheet music, and my mom played it while my brother and I sang along while dancing around the room like wacky insane people. It was the most awesome blackout ever.

That is so cool! I wish I could play piano well enough to play those songs! Instead I just periodically break out into song and dance. *coughs* Hee! And I'm the biggest cheese ever, but isn't that just so Julie Andrews, spoonful of sugaring that blackout all the way down.

I love it too! I have insane love for that movie! Though I watched it so much, I haven't watched it in over a year. That makes me sad. Guess I need to give it another go!

!!!! For a while, a few years back, there was an ongoing sing-along/MST3King of SoM in town, and they were giving out prizes to people who showed up in the most creative costumes, like as BROWN PAPER PACKAGES TIED UP WITH STRING!

No one wanted to go, including TFMN! Everyone was too cool for SoM school! I totally missed that sing-along, meh.

I went to a Sound of Music Sing-a-long. I met up with some fellow SoM fangirls (I knew them from online. From writing SoM fanfiction. This is how I first met in person fandom friends.) in London, where they were doing it. I dressed up in Maria's nightgown; imnotacommittee was a blue strawberry (Captain: "it's too cold for blueberries." Friedrich: "they were strawberries! It's been so cold out, they've turned blue!") and our other friend came as edelweiss--she won the costume contest.

The sing-a-long was hosted by a man in a red sparkly dress named Candy, who had better legs than me, and imnotacommittee brought poppers and we popped 'em when Maria and the Captain kissed, and when the nun said that the Captain was "a fine man, and a brave one" INAC shouted, "and a hot one!"

They circle around fairly often; one should come by you eventually. I highly recommend going to one, if you can find someone to go with you!

My friend knows this band, and she's trying to get them to do a remix of the Lonely Goatherd. Which is funny because they're this electronica type band. She's hasn't got them to do it yet, but on their last podcast they played it in the background. So funny.

I actually don't really like Mary Poppins. Which should be sacrilige, because Julie Andrews, and she's so damn good in it, but I hate those kids, I hate that mom, that father I can only get behind so much. But I like every part with Dick Van Dyke. Except when he's the old guy.

I've always wanted to figure out how the mood things work! I wish I had some of my very own to use! Preferably moods that have to do with Harry Potter. Do people often make moods? I wonder how I can find this out.... I'll have to check into this....
But I do love your SoM moods. Very nice. =)
