I totally totally feel you. I went to elementary school on the 'rich' side of town -- but my mum taught on the 'wrong side of the tracks' until last Sept. and I went to the high school that her elementary school was the feeder school for. And I was lucky enough that that was the school that had the program I was in, because if I had gone to high school on the same side of town I had grown up on, well, I probably wouldn't be here. But! Also, I wouldn't have had the chances I did. And those pretentions that college students have drive me NUTS. I've been soooooo far outside the realm of 'cool' all my life that I just get all incoherent. My boyfriend and I like to say that we could never be hipster 'cause we care too much. We get excited! We enjoy our dorky, dorky, DORKY habits (Medival recreation! reading! gaming!...being excited about stuff!) and in this town...man. It's a nice town, but it's a wealthy town, and those kids who grew up here on hte 'rich' side are so awful. There is so much freakin' pretentiousness! Lululemon pants and Mod Night at Lucky Bar and not going to Evolution (the best club EVAR) 'cause the weirdos and the hard cores go there and wearing Smoking Lily clothes and being Vegan 'cause it's cool and ooo! Check out how indie I am and OH MY GOD.

I love fanfiction and Blockbuster movies. Also, come visit me! I keep trying to get [livejournal.com profile] southernbamgel to come and bring funnel cake -- she promised to marry me up here if I wrote her B/A pR0n in her comments. I did! She is now my bride!

HEY! COME TO OUR WEDDING!!!
