Well, I've got two WIPs, if you want to read them. I do plan on finishing both. They are:
Best Souvenir, 6 chapters of which are posted right here. It's already quite long. As for plotty, it will be very plotty by the end, but where it is right now involves a lot of character development stuff. As for juicy (if you're talking 'bout hot monkey sex juiciness ;o) it isn't for now, but will have some NC-17 scenes later. It won't, however, full throttle smut (as far as I know ;o)
Another One Like It Tomorrow, a reworking of the day from IWRY in the style of the movie "Groundhog's Day." It's not posted here (obviously), because I kinda don't know what to do with it. It was a fic I started writing for two reasons: 1. to loosen me up when I got stuck on Souvenir, and 2. full throttle smut. But it kinda got out of hand, and now it's 27 chapters long and I didn't even get to the smut part yet. But it's obviously long, and very plotty, and will be juicy once Angel stops being so self-righteous ;o) If you do want to read it, let me know, and I can send you some chapters (or maybe start posting it here, if you want.)

I know what you mean. I can't say how regularly I update, because 1. some of it depends on my beta and whenever she finds the time to go over the chapters, and 2. I'm stuck on a plot point about ten chapters from now, and am not sure when I'll be breaking through the block. It might cause a blip in updates, might not.
lol. You've really been burned on WIPs, haven't you? Me too, though I must confess: I've left a fic or two unfinished. Okay, and maybe more than two.
I'm hoping to update this fic once every few days, and, at the very longest interval, every week or so. But I can't hold my lovely beta or my stinky muse to that, so if you're really worried, don't read it. I won't be hurt, and I'll let you know when it is finished (because I do plan on finishing it). In the meantime I'll be enjoying that hot avatar of yours and going to see the rest of them ;o)
oh, and if this is a better answer to your question: this looks to be a long fic for me. Right now it looks upwards of 35 chapters--so even if I do post every couple days, it won't be done for months. However, like I said, I'm not planning on abandoning it.
No, definitely won't be years. I don't have an attention span that long! And I, too, am a sucker for long fics. I really respect and admire a lot of one-shots, but after most of them I'm left wanting more. Which is why, of course, I write fanfic in the first place.
I'm like that took, some people just plug out fic after fic..but sometimes you just want somethng just long and plotty that will take you days to read.
