I just wanted to know if you update regularly..because WIP's are like a curse upon my soul :P
I know what you mean. I can't say how regularly I update, because 1. some of it depends on my beta and whenever she finds the time to go over the chapters, and 2. I'm stuck on a plot point about ten chapters from now, and am not sure when I'll be breaking through the block. It might cause a blip in updates, might not.
lol. You've really been burned on WIPs, haven't you? Me too, though I must confess: I've left a fic or two unfinished. Okay, and maybe more than two.
I'm hoping to update this fic once every few days, and, at the very longest interval, every week or so. But I can't hold my lovely beta or my stinky muse to that, so if you're really worried, don't read it. I won't be hurt, and I'll let you know when it is finished (because I do plan on finishing it). In the meantime I'll be enjoying that hot avatar of yours and going to see the rest of them ;o)
oh, and if this is a better answer to your question: this looks to be a long fic for me. Right now it looks upwards of 35 chapters--so even if I do post every couple days, it won't be done for months. However, like I said, I'm not planning on abandoning it.
No, definitely won't be years. I don't have an attention span that long! And I, too, am a sucker for long fics. I really respect and admire a lot of one-shots, but after most of them I'm left wanting more. Which is why, of course, I write fanfic in the first place.
I'm like that took, some people just plug out fic after fic..but sometimes you just want somethng just long and plotty that will take you days to read.
