Can we do that thing where you give me a subject and I list TOP 5? Please? Because I'm bored, and needs should definitely be met. As long as it doesn't require ointments the next day.

I know me. The uncut version is in my head, you cashew.

All the seasons of 24 seem to have an unhealthy obsession with torture. I rather like torture as a plot device if the psychological implications are dealt with. 24 deals with them well during the actual torture but you're right, not afterwards. It's lame.

And that fic is by K Knights.

I'll have to find it.

Walnut.

I think my favorite torture victim was that poor girl who worked there. They didn't even give her a raise afterward.

And here's the fic:

Didn't she ask for one and get her ass fired? I personally liked Jack torturing his gf's hubby. Just a little electric shock. He can thank me by running around like nothing happened and oh by the way, saving my life.

Thanks for the link!

And then, forcing the doctor to ignore him so he can DIE! I was impressed that the wife didn't commit suicide by the end. She starts out the day being tortured and ends it by having her estranged husbnad die. Now **that's** a bad day.

I also liked that part. I like it when Jack has to make sacrifices he doesn't want to make to do what he thinks he should. Of course, it's perfectly ludicrous that they're doing surgery on him there, instead of a hospital, and there's only one doctor, etc etc, but whatever.

Yeah, I did feel sorry for Audrey. Interesting to see her back in S5.
