Y. Effusive, embarrassing, and possibly kinda scary amounts of gratitude to
romanyg for paid time. You're awesome with the love and make lj a cooler place to be, and not just for the random fairy gifts on the doorstep!
A. And: I'm back! For good this time I think. I helped my brother move to Gainsville, Florida--I'd never been to FL. Or Mississppi or Alabama. It's humid in Houston, but Florida is SWIMMING in it. Seriously, if you can't hold your breath for long times underwater, don't go to Florida. I nearly Wicked Witched of the West'ed.
Y. Ask a question, any question about me, about fandom, about fic, about lj, about you, about oompas or hatracks or zits or finely carved small foxes, and I'll answer to the best of my ability. Unless I don't feel like it; then you're screwed. But no, really, I want to play! *blows breath on window and draws heart with fingers*
! ZOMG thank you again
romanyg!

1. How much editing do you do with your fic? How much of what comes out on your first pass makes it pretty much intact? I don't need percentages or anything, here; just a general idea.
2. I'd still love to hear your thoughts on my Erik p.o.v. novella, however misguided I now consider much of it. (no pressure, just a friendly little nudge. And wink.)
3. Do you think you'll stay in TX forever? Despite my frequent experience being uprooted, I'm eternally glad for some of the places I've moved from; Houston being one of them.

2. I'm sorry, K. I'm a loser. I'll get lots of comments to you sometime soon--I'm so sorry for such a long delay. Thanks for the nudge.
3. No! I hate Texas. I love travel. Mostly, I love travel because I have a tendency to get comfortable, and that makes me sedentary, and I produce nothing. But travel is a good way to force myself to be active in some way or other. Right now, I'm actually having difficulty imagining settling down in one place or another (which is funny because I've pretty much been in the same place my whole life and have as yet made no plans to leave), but I guess the places I'd most like to live are the East Coast or the UK.

2. =) No worries. I just get so curious!
3. Reasonable. I imagine moving to the UK to be fairly difficult, as an American (one wanting/needing a job, that is) but I love the East Coast as well. Well, the Northeast bit in particular.
Cool people live on the coast, yo.

2. I just get so lazy. :o(
3. Yeah, the UK is bloody expensive. I really should've said New England instead of just the East Coast, because that's what I meant.
I'd like to visit California for a while, but the only thing I'm interested in north of that is you! If I ever get money to go jetsetting about the way I'd like to, I'm definitely going to Seattle. ;o)

(Hooray for jetsetting!)

Most of the people I've known from Seattle are rabid fans of the city. I did almost go to Reed College, partly because I thought Seattle sounded so cool.

NW CA is awesome. I'd take the area around S.F., too.
I don't think I can compromise enough to make movies in Hollywood. It's interesting to see, but it's just too busy and too commercial.
