Happy Birthday, a2zmom!

Happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] a2zmom.

And, just to be random, five great things about you:
1. You were the first to really make me feel welcome on lj. For that, I like to think you saved me from ff.n.
2. You have purdy flowers.
3. Riley/Darla. 'Nuff said.
4. I'm going to use you shamelessly in the future to mooch off your musical tastes.
5. Gosh darn it, people like you, and so do I!

I hope there's cake. If there's not, don't tell me. I'd rather not know.

(I make a stupendous apple pound cake.)

Watch out. If I ever do meet you, that's not something I'm likely to forget.

I don't know if there will be cake.

Great. Now I'm sitting here imagining you cakeless. I'm sorry about lunch! I hope you somehow manage to finagle two lunches to make up for the cancelled one. And that two cakes will be involved.

You are going to kill me, since I basically rewriting most of it, to add in my Macy's and NYC knowledge.

6. You make me rewrite the chapters of my fic until I actually like them.

Have you seen my music spreadsheet? I am such a dork, I keep all my CDs in a spreadsheet.

Could you send it? I'd love to see what you have. And you're not a dork. Well, okay, you are, but I'm one too. If I had more cds, I'd have a spreadsheet. And my dad? Has a little booklet, and the albums are numbered, and don't even start me on his record collection . . .

When we moved, I throw out my records. All 500 of them except for "The Tin Man Was a Dreamer" by Nicky Hopkins since I wasn't sure I could replace it on CD and I love that record. When I found it being pressed on CD in Holland, I threw that record out also.

Nothing gives me a bigger thrill (well, ok, almost nothing) then finding an obscure CD for a reasonable price. It's like I'm putting one over on somebody.

I'm shocked. Throwing out records would be considered a crime in my father's house. Tapes are dead meat, though. Not that any of us ever owned many tapes. Because tape sucks.
