It's actually the result of me trying to make a serious meta post about research and writing, wanting to put a poll at the end of it to ask how people use research for writing, and discovering that the "preview" option doesn't show polls, freaking out about my lack of polling ability, and going nuts with the poll mechanism.

It's kind of addictive, actually. Now I want to do a poll about how come you won't take my poll. ;o)

In Ms. Spears' defense, I don't think she had anything to do with the statue at all. Someone sculpted it of her and is now trying to pass it off as art. I haven't seen anything on tv about it either, only the above. Thank god.

And it's alright to want to wish celebrities dead. As long as you don't try to kill the president to impress Jodi Foster.

But anyway, if you're really confused: this poll is a result of me wanting to do a serious poll about research for writing; when I went to preview my post and the poll, the poll didn't show up. I got worried I wasn't doing the poll right (it was the first poll I'd ever tried to do) so I wanted to do a test poll. I already had some questions saved up about polling that I actually really wanted to ask (such as "is everyone tired of the "ticky box!" option), but they were in a silly not-important vein, so I made the poll as goofy as any "this is just a test!!!" options should be.
