Hiya TKP! What did the original T.K.P. stand for? It used to be in your userinfo; now, alas, it is not.

thekorapersonality

I am privy to inside information.

And while TKP might think the answer to your "I Think I Love You" query is Kaci, the tacky (not ticky) truth is The Partridge Family.

Just remember - I know stuff. Even really embarassing stuff.

Okay, yes! Now I remember thekorapersonality. I have a vague idea that it signifies something, The Kora Personality, and I have this remiscence of a psychology case study that could be a complete figment of my imagination. But I don't know. So I ask you. Since you know stuff. :)

And absolutely, The Partridge Family. *claps*

I've never seen The Patridge Family. In fact, the list of sitcoms I HAVE seen fits on one hand.

It doesn't signify anything. "Kora" is another name for "Persephone." I added "the" and "personality" because I didn't want people to think "Kora" was my real name (it leads to weirdness when you meet internet people in RL; it happened to me before under a different name), but rather my fake name for internet purposes. I shortened it to tkp because thekorapersonality was too many characters for lj. However, in the future, I'm going to tell everyone it was based on a psychological case study in which the subject feels she is raped by darkness half the time, but the other half the time is the daughter of light. *waves at Freud*

Now's a perfect chance to say I've always adored your username to pieces!

Sadly, I have seen the Partridge Family.

Oh, that's a great explanation -- and I like it because it sounds somehow both clinical and poetic.

And thank you! I poked around for a bit and thought about what I might want before I chose the name. It was worth it, because I still like it.

Heh. Well, I hate this handle (unlike you, I picked it really quickly) so having a faux-explanation for it feels better!

Now for the million dollar question. What was The Partridge Family based on?

And I think you're right about the personality thing.

I always sort of assumed that The Partridge Family was based on The Von Trapp family and Sound of Music stuff, but I have no idea if that's true.

I don't care what the right answer is, you get points for mentioning The Sound of Music.

Huzzah, points!!!

[identity profile] a2zmom.livejournal.com 2006-03-29 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
Nope!

It was based on The Cowsills, sort of The Hansens of their time. It was a whole bunch of singing siblings (six of them!) along with their mom.

I was briefly a fan (I was ten, so don't hate me) and I owned a bunch of their albums. Amazingly Susan Cowsill grew up to become a member of The Continental Drifters, a really fine band.

I admire your stuff knowing mind.

It's times like this that I kinda wish I had appropriate icons to go with each comment. Makes the one liners seem more worthwhile.

It's not knowing stuff so much as one day being at a really good music site and suddenly having a need to know whether those wholesome avatars of wholesomeness, The Cowsills, became drug abusing serial murderers.

Bahahaha. I admire your inquisitive mind.

Though it is a stuff-knowing mind as well ;o)

Please don't tell her about the thing we did with the thing. That's between you and me and the thing, okay?

Too late. the thing has already outed the thing on fandom wank.
