Well, this is why I love "Chosen": Buffy has her friends, her family, and most of all she is no longer along any more. But that lost shot is of just her, with an empty road ahead of her, and she's smiling. She'll always have that support network, but I think she'll always make her own way alone. That's what I love about her.
But that doesn't change me from *wanting* her to get a chance to just lay it all down, to make a life for herself, which is why I'm a big smooshy B/Aer at heart. But when I'm realistic about it, I tend to think that Buffy and Angel will always be a part of each other's lives (as will Spike), and that they'll have more happy moments together and more sad moments together, but that in the end, both of them will be smiling at the empty road alone.
