We usually just give them out to the kids each year.

Did you know that they were used to secretly teach Torah during the time of the Macabees? The occupying force thought a children's game was being played, while in reality the religion itself was being passed along. (Punishment for the study of Judaism was death.) The dreidel was used in the same fashion during the Nazi reign of terror, to help keep the religion alive.

Instructions? You build a menorah. And you can change the color of the candles!

You need one large candle (the "helper" candle) and eight shorter candles. Candles are lit from left to right, an additional one each night of the holiday. Tonight (sundown), two candles will get lit.

I should amend that to plus the helper candle, which is always lit first and lights the other candles.
