I did this poll based on the assumption that people ship for deeper reasons than physicality, but I wanted to see if physical attributes reflected those deeper reasons.
It's a fun question for a dreary day, one I've pondered myself...especially after noticing that Buffy and Angel really are a more physically striking pair than Buffy and Spike, no matter how striking I find Spike on his own.
Lizzie has dark eyes, but I'm quite sure there's no reference to her hair colour.
The thing I have always loved most about Jane Austen is that every single one of her primary pairings is that way.
Some of her heroes, notably Tilney (my favourite), are pretty solidly on the teacher end of the spectrum, but Anne Wentworth makes up for all of them. :) Mostly, her characters just feel like they fit each other.
