-Angel/Spike ficathon: grazieprego. It's been decided Buffyverse is retro enough to be cool again. Throw your hat in; it's going to be amazing. The awesomesauciest of writers are doing it! Except for you, you're not, so why are you still here? Even if you don't sail that ship, you're welcome to write their canon selves--there was enough subtext (sometimes text) there to canonball a ship, get it? Wait that metaphor does not make sense. It can involve other ships and people as long as there is Angel/Spike. Just do it; I love it.

-Speaking of ships and canon I don't understand myself. I really don't. I, in fact, stopped understanding myself the moment fodian began to show me pictures like this:

I seriously regard that as my downfall, because that was the first thing I was attracted to (uh, in a sexy way) something that didn't fall along what I'm usually attracted to. And then it turned into 'ships--Spike/Connor, of all things, and Angel/Connor, and there was that weird two months where I lived and breathed Angel/Spike. But then it REALLY went downhill because there was Draco/Harry, which I understand even less. And then out of left field there was Commissioner Gordon/Bruce Wayne, don't even ask. And now it's Godfather. No, seriously. WTF, brain? There are only even like 2 Godfather slashers on the whole planet (both of them rock, btw, and have awesome hot fic. hollycomb and igbc).

I think "shipped in a serious way" means I have went out and searched for fic about them, or tried to write it. I tried to put them in the order I got interested in them, but sometimes the interest resurges again later. Best ships are like that. *nods*

I also talked to Iron Man posters, but I'm past that now. Tony Stark didn't call back, so, you know.

Oh, I remembered what else I used to ship like mad. A Little Princess. I shipped so many people in it, it's kind of scary. Sara/Lavinia, and Sara/Becky, before I knew what femslash was. And I kept hoping for a sequel where Sara grows up and marries Carrisford, and I was heartbroken when mom told me that there won't be more parts. And, of course, Ralph Crewe/Carrisford. 'Dear friends'. It was so obvious.

I guess I need to get back to some of the books. I'm taking a seminar on the child in literature, so I may even call it research :D.

I have bug eyes right now. BUG EYES.

It was weird writing this list, because I couldn't include one of my biggest fandoms, because I didn't have a ship for it. (I almost didn't include Jane Eyre, because I never really wanted to write fanfic for it; I just obsessed over it very intensely for a long time. But it has a ship; I was obsessed with them being together, so I guessed it counted.) That fandom was, of course, A Little Princess.

I got into femslash way before boyslash, and in my teen years, I wanted a ship for Sara so much I tried Sara/Becky in my head, but I just could not make it work for me. Nor Sara/Ermengard. (Never thought about Sara/Lavinia . . . which is starting to make my bug eyes get bigger.) I think I considered Sara/Carrisford some, but in the end I wanted someone for her that didn't have weird psychological issues. Never thought about Ralph Crewe/Carrisford, but then again there's no Sara.

Dude I think someone told me they found Sara/Amelia. Wtf? But anyway I would read ANY ALP fic you wrote ;o)

...and meanwhile keep thinking of Sara/Livinia.
