- Prefer Spike in fic than on screen. Writers here right him so much better, with so much more respect as a character. IMO Especially those B/A loving Spike fans.

- Because I saw that ep...when it was called IOHEFY...besides the fact that any acting way possible SMG pwns Charisma. Sorry she just does, and I love CC.

Oh! This makes sense. But is there a way to make someone else's post on a paid journal appear *not* in their journal's layout? Some people's layouts bug me and I want to read their post or fic or whatever, but not have to view it in their journal layout.
Sometimes I just need some sappy B/A. But actually when [info]canadiangirl_86 and I pick out eps, they're usually funny goofy ones. Partly because she can't "cry in front of me". Nothing too heavy when we're together, but with me, I just pick faves, or I'll read a quote or see an icon from a specific ep that I might not have watched in a while and do it. It's pretty random, mostly S1-4 though. If I need a good cry, IWRY, The Prom, Becoming 2, The Body and Forever.
Hahaha that's funny that you won't cry together! I try not to watch things that make me cry too much because I don't want the emotion to not be as profound again. Once something's made me cry once, it's hard for it to make me do it again. Then again I am as stone. I don't cry very much. ;o)

Heh, I have no problem with crying, but Joh is a loser about it. I think another thing that takes away from the crying effect is the fact that we've seen all those cry-heavy eps (ie/ IWRY) more times than we can count...and we know the lines and on occasion say the lines while or before it happens lol. It would take the fun out of it if you weren't huge uber fans like us, I suspect.

I was totally thinking of that show "The Profiler", but I'm a bigger BTVS fan, although I've watched every single ep of ATS. But titles..sort of mean nothing to me if it's not S1, 2 or actually even 5, because I paid more attention with the lack of BTVS. Also because I started watching it ON the WB. In Canada WB isn't part of your regular cable, we didn't use to catch it, we did on our local channels. Um, what else..oh right, I only own S1,2 and 5.

I love season 3 of Angel. I can never decide which season of Angel I love the best (the only thing I know is it isn't S1), but whenever I consider the mauling of Cordelia's character, dork!Angel, and the very badly handled C/A, I come back to the theme of family and loyalty that Holtz and Justine and Wesley and Connor are all about, that scene with Angel in the rain holding Connor, Darla loving her child and not knowing why, Angel loving his child and not knowing why, the roles we're forced to play and the destinies we try to escape, betrayal sacrifice love andohmygodIloveitsomuch.

I appreciate what they were trying to do with that arc, I really do. S1 is so freak of the week yet so...*Angel* and *Cordy* and ooh so much lub! But I think S2 is where it really hits its stride, I'm not sure how hot I am on the Pylea arc, but the whole Darla thing was just perfect.
I think the beginning and the premise of S3 was really good, but I dunno, after a while it was just meh. Same with S4 again lovely work with the deep complicated twists and arcs and all that and a bag of chips...but...the massacre of my beloved Cordy. Just...no.

S2 is phenomenal in terms of being really really steady on its feet. Only BtVS S3, S5, and AtS S4 really rival the tight plotting and working of themes, there, imo, and I'm inclined to let AtS S2 win. I didn't think much of Pylea either, but then again it was thrown together last minute because they could do what they wanted or something, right? I don't know.
Anyway, BtVS is a lot different than AtS. I actually didn't connect with most of the characters in AtS the way I did with most all of them in S1-3 of BtVS, but a lot of the concepts and themes tend to touch me deeper. Also, Angel.
