Fiction's Hottest Voices

I've been compiling this. Who knows why? And I'd love to see yours.

Some of these, I just think the actor him/herself has a sexy voice, but this is listed according to character because some do different voices for different characters, or get better voices later on in life, and so specific characters come to mind. This was odd to do because I find some accents sexy, and it's difficult for me to separate the voice and accent*--I really wanted to do just voices, here. Also, I love unusual voices, but while some are exceedingly interesting, they're not what I consider sexy--I really wanted to do just sexy, here. I've always found men's voices far more appealing than women's. It's not because I don't love my vagina! I love deep, gravelly voices, unusual voices, and low, smoky female voices (in that order) the most. It was hard to put these in order, so some I'd interchange with others.

*For instance, Lucius Malfoy: Jason Isaacs, in Harry Potter: Chamber of Secrets. Is it the accent? Or the voice? Or just the fact that he's a snobbish assholic bastard? Answer on my desk in essay-form by Thursday, kthx.

No. Nor have I seen History of Violence or Walk on the Moon. I'm deprived?

SPEAKING OF DEPRAVATION. ahem. Have you seen the Beauty and the Beast with Linda Hamilton? I ask because it reminds me of you. It's cheesy and romantic--not saying that you're cheesy and romantic--oh wait, yes I am. But I am too because OMG, the fashion and some of the acting and almost all the plots are so bad, but it makes me wibble all over and never want to stop. There was a sewer scene, where Big Hero totally gives the speech Angel would've *wanted* to give in "The Prom", and then he goes away, and you get to see him CLUTCH HIS HEART and GASP afterwards. Ok, so it sounds really cheesy, but it was a thing of beauty.

I also ask because my friend had never heard of it and guessed that it was because she was in Canada in the 80s, and maybe it was just an American thing?

Too funny that you should mention Beauty and the Beast, as I was holding the boxed set in my hand just this past Friday night when I was with [livejournal.com profile] germaine_pet

But I wasn't holding the dvds in my hand for me...my BFF loved that show when it was on...I never watched because hello! man dressed like a lion. (And she thinks my obsession with a vampire is crazy!)

So, I have never seen it- but I am going to buy the dvds for her as a gift and then I will borrow and watch the lion-man beat his chest.

*throws wrist to forehead dramatically*

Dude, I saw the DVD boxed set at Target and I am *so* trying to resist. But resistance, as the saying goes, is futile.

Why resist?

You need to buy it and write me fanfic. STAT.

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH DRESSING LIKE A LION. *looks about nervously*

I can't believe you, Chris. Prejudiced against him just because he's part feline. In the immortal words of [livejournal.com profile] seraphcelene: CAT PEOPLE NEED LOVE TOO.

Also. You're a necrophiliac.
