2. Did you all know that NC-17 is supposed to mean (according to the MPAA) those under 17 and 17-yr-olds shouldn't be watching/reading? I always thought it was just those under 17.

3. I won an award! Best drama, for the IWRY Marathon, for my fic Bodiless Within The Bodies! . Thanks again to chrisleeoctaves, canadiangirl_86, and the three mystery readers.

4. Also thanks again to everyone who participated in the IWRY Marathon. I have not read all the stories yet, but I certainly mean to (and I know I'll be rereading many!), and I'm really looking forward to it. Also, another big public OMG I love you to chrisleeoctaves, who made this marathon so wonderful this year.

5. Also, big thanks to terilyn4 who nominated Best Souvenir for best WIP at the When The Sun Sets Awards. It was the first time a fanfic of mine got nominated for anything, and I feel truly honored.

6. I liked S/B on BtVS. Nevertheless, you won't see me reccing Spuffy very often. Now go read stultiloquentia's fic. It's just . . . fun. Like fanfic should be.

ETA: Stulti has just reminded me that we should hassle her non-stop for B/A pr0n. Go. Go hassle. (I've adjusted the link so you guys can read above the cut, the part where she says, "I have B/A pr0n; come hassle me chickies!")

7. My Granny wants to know if an article published recently, about someone who is up-and-coming and also good looking, made me want to--and I quote--"erp." Serious girls like Joy, Granny says, do not say things such as "you just want to muss his hair" (as the article put it) about men.

Now, seeing as how the man in question is related to me, and I'm not keen on incest except in fanfic, no, I wouldn't say that about the man in the article. But Granny, you're right. Serious girls do not say they want want to muss the hair of smart, successful, handsome men. Only jokesters do that.

Serious girls say they wanna fuck 'em dry and then when it's all over call in the next to do it to them all over again.

see! weird. I feel like this is something I should've known when I was 17. But instead when I was 16 I was like, "look I'm illegal!" But then when I was 17 I thought I was all law-abiding, me and my NC-17 fics.

Oh well. In college, laws about at what age you can do certain . . . stuff doesn't matter as much.

Ha. My dad doesn't believe that the government should legalize gay marriage. He thinks that the government shouldn't legalize any marriage. He thinks that the government shouldn't have anything to do with marriage, and that it should be a private contract between two people.

In theory, I agree. Except there's a bunch of pesky issues like sharing of property that are so much easier to deal with if the government has a standard way of dealing with couples. But anyway the civil libertarian in me is cheering for your spawn.

Then mpoetess made icons of certain choice phrases in the summaries here.

My favorite, I think is: "Xander waits for the inevitable. *includes rape*"

Runner up: "Xander gets tortured. warning: humor"

Funny how the best ones are all about Xander.

It almost, but not quite, makes me want to get a paid account. As it is I booted out Anne of Green Gables to warn people about the tentacles.
