You know what the world needs more of?

Batman/Gordon. Bruce Wayne/Jim Gordon, Bruce/Jim, Jim/Bruce, Jim Gordon/Bruce Wayne, Gordon/Batman. Do you see how I am like a tween dreaming of marriage to her chemistry class crush? Bruce Gordon. Jim Wayne. Bruce Wayne-Gordon. James "Jim" Wayne.

First of all, you guys, Commissioner Gordon. I read this quote about how in a place like Gotham City, it's easier to be Batman than Commissioner Gordon. It's melodramatic, but don't you think it's a little true? I mean, isn't the whole reason Wayne became Batman because he didn't see how else to do what needed to be done? And yeah, that's brave, and maybe cleverer, more productive, useful (in the short term. Who knows what it does for the underpinnings of society? I'm not even getting into the ideas of Gordon's actions being definitely more ethical, perhaps also more moral).

But Gordon's the one doing this thing he knows is impossible. And he's never going to stop, no matter how impossible it is. He's going to do it until it kills him, because someone needs to try.

I . . . don't know what's wrong with me.

I also don't know when RL is going to let up, but I'm hoping soon. I got a new job (still at the Science Center, different position), but I've finally done it a couple times now, and there's not extensive travel/visiting people for the next six weeks or so ... who knows. I miss you all. I do still read your journals, even if I don't comment. Looking forward to reading some fic eventually...!

I love to write.

Even when nothing goes right and I have to tear it all apart and it's not coming to me and I can't ever be as good as I imagine and I can't go to sleep at night because of it and I stress about never publishing original stuff.

I love it. More than just about anyone or anything in the world. I love it like that.

I have wanted this ever since I got an lj. *points to mood theme*

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] imnotacommittee for directing me to it. It's here if anyone else is interested . . . but somehow I don't see [livejournal.com profile] crazydiamondsue giving up her "full" Xander-in-a-speedo mood, and she's the only one I can think of besides INAC who cares.

BUT IT'S THE SOUND OF MUSIC YOU GUYS AND MARIA AND CAPTAIN VON TRAPP AND OMG I'M JUST SO UNBELIEVABLY HAPPY THAT YES, I DO HAVE TO USE THIS MUCH CAPSLOCK. /the hills are bloody the frak alive.

Does writing fanfiction make you happy?

Of course it does. That's why you do it. If that's not why you do it, don't tell me.

But what I want to know is, is it a happy that staves off boredom and is entertaining, rather than a happy that makes you want to jump up and down and run in circles and smile all the time because you're secretly thinking of what you're going to write next? Is it the kind of happy that makes it so you can't wait to sit down in front of your computer so you can see what happens next? Is it the kind of happy that every once in a while makes you bursty feeling?

I hope it is.

Happy Everything to Everybody, Even If It's Already Over!

And a great big ole thank you to [livejournal.com profile] chrisleeoctaves and [livejournal.com profile] marenfic for seasons greetings.

Now, from me to you, where my Granny lives! )

1. Happy Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] violaclaire, who apparently, may share a birthday with Mary Queen of Scots.

2. Did you all know that NC-17 is supposed to mean (according to the MPAA) those under 17 and 17-yr-olds shouldn't be watching/reading? I always thought it was just those under 17.

3. I won an award! Best drama, for the IWRY Marathon, for my fic Bodiless Within The Bodies! And omigawd I got cool graphics! ). Thanks again to [livejournal.com profile] chrisleeoctaves, [livejournal.com profile] canadiangirl_86, and the three mystery readers.

4. Also thanks again to everyone who participated in the IWRY Marathon. I have not read all the stories yet, but I certainly mean to (and I know I'll be rereading many!), and I'm really looking forward to it. Also, another big public OMG I love you to [livejournal.com profile] chrisleeoctaves, who made this marathon so wonderful this year.

5. Also, big thanks to [livejournal.com profile] terilyn4 who nominated Best Souvenir for best WIP at the When The Sun Sets Awards. It was the first time a fanfic of mine got nominated for anything, and I feel truly honored.

6. I liked S/B on BtVS. Nevertheless, you won't see me reccing Spuffy very often. Now go read [livejournal.com profile] stultiloquentia's fic. It's just . . . fun. Like fanfic should be.

ETA: Stulti has just reminded me that we should hassle her non-stop for B/A pr0n. Go. Go hassle. (I've adjusted the link so you guys can read above the cut, the part where she says, "I have B/A pr0n; come hassle me chickies!")

7. Dear Granny, I am a slut. )

Oh, and I want to use this line: Excuse me, I have to call everyone I have ever met, right now.
