All your choices are very right! It's very hard to pick the rightest!
Also, you mispelled "argue" in one of the questions (/nitpick) and I picked the fourth choice in the "what's wrong about Wes/Angel" question, even though now that I think about it, I think that's what I LOVE about them.
"I'm a poll category!" she crowed. (I've always wanted to use "crowed," yet never found the proper scenario.)
Dude. This was the best poll ever. Why? Because I had to read each section five times to make a choice. I'm still not happy with my S/B answer. And I don't know what George Wendt/beans means, but it's now my mantra.
(I still love S/X in that way that you never forget the first person you made out with and in fact make it a much bigger and shinier event than it actually was and write lots of thoughtful first person narratives about that Salon never publishes because they're all about breastfeeding.)
The problem with B/anybody is that 'the slayer is alone' and I know Buffy nixed that with her friend and family and all and then went on to share the power with a whole bunch of teeny boppers, but Buffy was the last of her breed - Kendra and Faith were the only one's of their breed.
Yes, Buffy is 'filled with love' and it's 'brighter than the fire' but the love that I believe the FS was talking about was the love for humanity and the desire to protect it.
In conclusion, Buffy/calling OTP with great watchers, family, friends, and lovers as sidekicks only.
I was going to check off every single item on the "What's wrong with S/A" list, but then I thought, "Wait. Those are all the reasons I *love* them." Well, except for Angel being a great big brawny man and Spike being a blood-crying girl.
I'm weird sometimes. This may make me a bad fan - but the thing that cracked me up most about this was the Rosencrantz & Guildenstern reference. Now THERE'S a slash story waiting to be written.
- Oh, Rosencrantz! - Who? - Isn't that you? - I thought you were...?
Not to mention all the "heads" and "tails" jokes. OK, I'll stop now.
Hee! The poll is so much fun! I especially agree on "Xander *isn't* an innocent unloved boy who is ready to be corrupted by Spike's jaded cynicism fucking that warm untouched white arse in search of freshness and hope and home. Besides, arse isn't ever fresh, and there might be coming but it ain't home," being the thing that doesn't make Spander work. Grrr, I hate that plotline!
I ashamed to say that I used to write like that before, but in my defense I used to read Spander before watching the show. I still love the ship, I think Xander and Spike has a lot in common, love many fanfics about them, but I know some of them are awful.
And this made me laugh out loud:
"there are too many fics in which Angel is a great big brawny man and Spike is a blood-crying girl."
I don't read Spangel but blood-crying girl Spike appears in Spander sometimes, in the fics where Xander is the great big browny man. *g*

Also, why only "the fans" category for B/A and B/S? Can't other shippers be nuts too? :D

I came away from this with a strong desire to write entirely pointless B/A/F/S.
