Happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] ros_fod, who is so cute in her squee, and so thought-provoking in her observations, and resourceful and informative in her Vinnie-love, and talented in her phraseology/metaphor/writing stuff, and beautiful in her life.

I hope you get cake and things with bows.

I've been compiling this. Who knows why? And I'd love to see yours.

Some of these, I just think the actor him/herself has a sexy voice, but this is listed according to character because some do different voices for different characters, or get better voices later on in life, and so specific characters come to mind. This was odd to do because I find some accents sexy, and it's difficult for me to separate the voice and accent*--I really wanted to do just voices, here. Also, I love unusual voices, but while some are exceedingly interesting, they're not what I consider sexy--I really wanted to do just sexy, here. I've always found men's voices far more appealing than women's. It's not because I don't love my vagina! I love deep, gravelly voices, unusual voices, and low, smoky female voices (in that order) the most. It was hard to put these in order, so some I'd interchange with others.

*For instance, Lucius Malfoy: Jason Isaacs, in Harry Potter: Chamber of Secrets. Is it the accent? Or the voice? Or just the fact that he's a snobbish assholic bastard? Answer on my desk in essay-form by Thursday, kthx.

Thanks, Sue, for the St Paddy's e-card! *much love*

I got my laptop!

Vista: is very Apple-y, in that it's very "user-friendly" and never lets you see where all the files really are and where your computer does it's computing. Which for the most part is fine with me, except when it's not. It's all very pretty, anyway.

The "cancel or allow" thing is nice, actually, because too many times I open a .exe when I don't actually mean to, and I like knowing what my comp is running at all times. The problem is, it reminds me of the Mac commercial, which reminds me of the computer porn someone wrote about it, which just kind makes want to write smut. Mac probably got syphilis from that fic and then had a system crash. Your parents warned you about safe sex on the internets! or at least mine do.

Question: I had this client dl'ed on my old machine that allowed me to use all kinds of IM do-hickeys at once. I can't remember what it was called though, so can anyone tell me what they use and whether they like it?

I installed Word and World of Warcraft, and downloaded Firefox and Semagic, so I'm pretty much good to go. And write fic.

S. Hotmail doesn't seem to be working for me. I can't get to any of my email. (eta: working now. It was down for hours!)
A. My brain hurts from trying to write too many concepts and not enough plot.
D. I'm at work, I have no laptop, and I can't think.

!. I always have a billion fandom, meta, fic thoughts that I just don't post about because I want to Think Them Out and present them in an orderly fashion, so we can have real, big discussions about them. See S.-D. for why I'm not about to do that.

Instead, I brain-dump all at once.

I didn't think it would ever come to this.*

This is what wank does, kids. It rips us apart.

On that note, anyone who has [livejournal.com profile] lostakasha friended is a giant ho. (Self included.)

*it didn't.

I won't ever test our friendship again, A, if you will but let me back in your heart. I was going to try to write you this Angel/Fred, AngelandFred thing, a sort of way to tempt you into friending me. (Almost a year ago you asked for a drabble with them, but it got a lot more complicated than that.) But yeah I didn't make as much headway as I hoped. So even though I have no Reconciliation Fic to offer, I wanted to make my public apology, and hope you put me on your list again.

So that I look really popular.

Ok, not really, but wouldn't it be cool?

Probably you guys know this already because you're this freakish hive mind with super sonic powers, but I'm excited about it anyway. Even if you have already done your stinger waggling bee dances of buzz over it, or whatever. You bunch of weirdos.

A pilot with Summer Glau. Possibly appearing naked in a sizzled out hollow of earth! Hopefully afterwards she's stealing leather, sunglasses and a motorcycle to the tune of 'Bad to the Bone'. Because that would be kinda hot? )

I have drama! Not whiny emo drama either, I have true, juicy drama!

The story of me getting robbed! Okay, okay, so it's more about what got stolen, actually, but I thought that cut text sounded more exciting. )

SUPER SPECIAL NOTE TO K and [livejournal.com profile] samsom: POTO fic won't be up at [livejournal.com profile] tkpfics for a while.

SUPER SPECIAL NOTE TO [livejournal.com profile] stoney321, [livejournal.com profile] redbrickrose or [livejournal.com profile] stultiloquentia: could one of you send me back that H/D fic I sent as an attachment, as I don't have that backed up anywhere? Thanks so much. I'd be sad to lose it, even if it *is* 100 pages of H/D with no H/D. I'm sad the 15 pages I wrote since I sent it to you is gone forever! eta: THANKS STONEY!

SUPER SPECIAL NOTE TO [livejournal.com profile] brandil: uh, I'll send you that fic when I one of the ladies I've already sent it to forwards me a copy.

I know there are things I will be missing over the next several months, but hey. They didn't steal my car, I'm alive, and it was a really good gyro.

...the whole five of you who would even click on a Harry/Draco fic, much less read one:

I seem to have found . . . 45,000 words worth of a crack, massive, lame, embarrassing H/D WIP on my hard drive that I don't see myself finishing, and yet every time I check it, filled with innocent bewilderment, the word count goes up another 5,000 or so.

I was wondering whether any of the <5 of you could:
a. explain to me how this got on my hard drive,
b. read it and help me,
c. shoot me now,
d. hold my hand and pet it while I dissolve into tears of despair and self-loathing, while not letting anyone involved in Jossverse know,
e. all of the above.

How much do I love that all the lovin' broke the love meme's back? You can't comment there any more apparently, but I wanted to say thanks, for including me on there (that was very unexpected and new!) and that I'm very sorry I didn't get to splooge on some of you, and especially sorry that I didn't get to put up the name or leave comments for a few of you who were all over the place leaving love. Just know I <3 you, and you made my day today, either way. You all make this place warm and fun and a respite from the cold, the nasty, and the absence of "Bones".

As you may or may not know, I like polls. Not just because they're fun to think up and make, but because I learn so much from them. Below are six things I've learned from people, just by them filling in that text-y box on my polls!

-One billion people live in China and not one of them is named Bubba.
-I really don't particularly give a fuck about ships, but I don't like Spike or Switzerland.
-Everyone in VM fandom is made of cabbage.
-Tripzan is a pancreatic enzyme.
-The problem with Spike/Xander is that Xander's cock is only half as magical as Angel's.
-My head hurts, my feet stink, and I don't love Jesus.

Now, these six people made the statements above. Try to guess who made which statement. You know you want to. I'll give you a gold star if you win. [livejournal.com profile] rainkatt knows I have that gold star just waiting to be used.

Love Meme!

I don't do these much, but I felt that [livejournal.com profile] romanyg deserved lovin' today. Well, everyday, but yeah it's there. So go. Love.

Just as a side note I found this meme extremely difficult as I wanted to put all of you on it. I must've gotten a lovebug or something, because usually I'm thinking, "Gee, flist, I care not about the pus-filled boil you got last week; are you still talking about it?"

Kidding.

Sort of. *<3s you people.*

On some levels this fic is total AU crack, dark!fic, h/c, purple prose, shipper!psychosis you might read with some shame. On other levels there's the male protagonist who will never be a good guy, who has a darkness and violence in him he can never dispell completely--who hates himself for it, guilts over it, and doesn't even exactly know how to be good enough to even dream of redemption. And the strong, albeit innocent (somewhat) female who seekens to lighten his darkness with her brilliance, despite demons of her own. Because she's the kind that will stand on the hill and ask him, "what about me?" right before it begins to snow. Aww! *wipes tears* I do like this story, even if it is a bit repetitive and heavy handed at times. And crack.

MOVIEVERSE X-MEN (written pre-X-Men2 and X-Men3. Though that hardly matters because, AU.)
Title: Animal Behavior
Length: 20 chapters (short novel length)
Status: COMPLETE
Rating: NC-17, for sex and situations
Pairing: Logan/Marie (Wolverine/Rogue)
Summary: complete AU. Logan and Marie are Stryker's lab rats, nearly stripped of humanity. Later, they meet again and make some attempts to reclaim it.
A/N: The premise for this AU belongs entirely to jjblazer, from her fic, The Cell. The concept was used with her permission.

This was originally posted several years ago at the DDFH W/R Yahoo! Group under the pen name Moswen (len).

Does anyone know anything about X-Men fandom or Wolverine/Rogue fandom on livejournal? The archive to which this was posted is defunct. I would like to post this to a comm or something, if only for posterity's sake.
lettered: (Default)
I've started a comm called [livejournal.com profile] tkpfic. At the moment, I'm going to use tkpfic in order to host all of my old fanfic. By "old" fanfic I mean fics that I wrote previous to becoming active on lj, which refers exclusively to non-Jossverse fics. The fandoms include but are not limited to: movieverse X-men, Phantom of the Opera, The Sound of Music, L.M. Montgomery, The Godfather, Ever After, and yeah, I don't even know what. Many of these fics are unfinished WIPs, all of which I hope one day to finish (though the Alias and the Gilmore Girls ones are in high doubt); a few are one shots or series. Many of them were posted under a different pen name. Some are very old.

In the future, I hope tkpfic to serve two more purposes: 1. To host any other fic I might write in other fandoms again (I feel like if I say something like that, someone I know might burst into tears. Or someone else I know might kinda kill me. I am writing HP fic, but I'm not admitting it to myself. 56.4% of people polled think HP fandom is fucking scary. I tend to agree). 2. To host my kajilliondy billion word Buffyverse B/A Angel-goes-nuts epic thingy, and any other Really Long fics I might write. Since I resolved to no longer inflict WIPs on the world (read: [livejournal.com profile] chrisleeoctaves. Which is sad, because I made her read it while it is yet unfinished), this fic will be posted nearly all at once (when it's finished. It's not. But I hope to do it for [livejournal.com profile] lynnevitational), or spead over a few days or weeks. Even posted over a few weeks, this fic is so massive that I don't really want to clog my flist. Even if you want me to clog my flist, I'd like the fic in a more contained place, not interspersed with crack polls and emo and wanting to know why 'shipper fics must have insta!lust (no, really, insta!lust is getting annoying).

However, yon' friends! Hope is ahead for ye, for most need not friend tkpfic! On this journal, [livejournal.com profile] tkp, I'll be posting normal fic headers and then fake cuts to every new Jossverse story I write. Ongoing fics or series that I've started on this journal will show updates here. When I post the Epic That Ate My Brain, I'll announce it here, and though I won't announce every chapter (that would defeat the point), I'll keep you updated so you know when it's done posting, for those who would like to read it straight through. If you decide you'd like to read it as it comes instead, you can friend tkpfic and then defriend it when I finish, no big. The same goes for any multi-chaptered fic I may ever post at tkpfic in the future: there will be header info here on tkp and notifications when it's finished (or something like every 10 chapters, if I ever do anything as long again as Epic of Doom). And the same goes for any other non-Jossverse fic I write: you will be informed of it here. Whether you like it or not. The same goes for when I finish some of my older work. And the same goes for right now, as I post my older stuff: I'm going to be telling you what's going up there, and you can choose to click the fake cuts if it's something that interests you.

The only reason you'd want to friend tkpfic is if you want to read every word of fic I've ever written regardless of fandom or length. Even I don't even really want to do that! Some day, (if [livejournal.com profile] chrisleeoctaves is still up for it) I'm going to have a website and it's going to have my Stuff in it in one place, all the pretty Jossverse fic and hopefully some other crap. Ooh, and essays.

Kita totally asked for it!

Sue totally instigated with teh pretty.

And I . . . wrote porn about names and bodies that exist but people, personalities, and libidos that do not.

DB/NB, the NC-17est NC-17 that ever almost shagged in front of a reporter's camera, and then in an elevator, and then in a hallway, all because NC-18 kept saying dirty, dirty things. )

I either write off the cuff or agonize forever. Sometimes for years, which is the short version of forever, but still. Why?

[livejournal.com profile] femmenerd, you a la mode my pie in so many ways, I don't even know how to say. But I'll give it a start:

1. Sending me 4 a.m. pics of Jared and Jenson and who knows what; it's actually all kinda hazy, now.
2. You are just as excited about looking at pretty girls as you are about...power issues as they pertain to sexual identity. You get all jazzed up about slumming around watching old tv shows, and bubble over with a similar enthusiasm over...feminist theory as applied to readings of specific texts. Especially when the texts are like, episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. You are all the sheer ebullience I long for in academia, with none of the pretension or assholism.
3. You're a damn fine writer. To whom I can talk to. About writing. These two things don't always go hand in hand. Also. I like your paragraph structures.
4. I bet if I met you you wouldn't smell too bad.
5. You are loving in a rare way. It appears effortless to you, and easy, and joyful, and open-minded, and insightful, a bunch of other good stuff which I don't really know how to describe except that it makes me feel kinda uplifted when I see a post or comment by you.
6. You like wine. I like wine. We should have a party, some day.

There's more, like how well you punctuate and how hard you fall for things and how pretty I think your hair is and how I really like the green color on your lj, but it could get creepy, so I'll stop. Eat cake!

No, really. Eat cake. NOW.

Happy Valentines Day, everyone!

Sue sent virtual chocolates! So much love.

eta: aww! THanks to [livejournal.com profile] romanyg and [livejournal.com profile] a2zmom for the candies and rose as well! I got them while I was drooling all over Helo and Sharon. Much thanks! I love ya guys!

Now for something completely different. BSG: question about ep order, squee, and Felix Gaeta. )

You should be getting a little something in the mail, but I didn't get it sent until Friday so it will be late. It's not big and might be odd to you, but anyway, happy birthday!

[livejournal.com profile] kita0610, you make me happy. You write excellent fic, make great recs, find cool people, and really keep things jazzed with your enthusiasm and snark. But my favorite thing about you, fandom-wise, is that you have a really unique point of view. I think I've said it before, but whenever I talk to you I feel like my brain is getting sparked to go in brand new direction; I see things I haven't before and it's not only entertaining; it makes me feel good. Like about myself and stuff.

And that's what's my favorite thing about you real life-wise, too. You bring that perspective to your interactions with others, the people you love, and what's going on in the world. And sometimes I get new insight into ways of approaching things and people and life and I know this is really cheesy but it's true. Sappy birthday! Thanks for well, living ;o)
